Back in '99 a group of Camelboks travelled to Sydney to play the first ever Kuttabul vs Kuttabul game of rugby. In February 2008 The Camelboks returned to Sydney for the second of what is now known as the "Kuttabul Challenge". With the game scheduled for Friday afternoon the 29th of February, the Camelboks fronted up to Randwick Barracks. The Navy boys looked sharp and fit, the realisation then came that this was the first grade RAN team, not just the boys from HMAS Kuttabul, gulp!!! The game was played in the true spirit of Rugby. The Navy boys with a balance of youth, fitness and agility humbled the Camelboks with a close scoring game. The Camelboks fought bravely, scoring a sole try against a Navy score we wont discuss. Afterwards a bar-b-cue was put on by the Navy boys at the Randwick Barracks' 'Clydesdale Club', stories were exchanged and the presentation made, with Shane Moloney taking home the trophy for safe keeping. As a memento of the 2008 Camelbok visit a 'Crystalbok' (pictured here adjacent) was presented to the Navy.
